Wealth Accumulation Plan
Wealth Accumulation Plan (WAP) is a single premium investment product. With this plan, you start investing with a minimum of USD 30,000 with the option to add more as you go along. WAP lets you build an investment portfolio from a wide range of funds from Zurich and other leading global and local asset managers.
Who is it for?
WAP could be right for you if:
You’ve built a savings amount or received a large one-off payment that you want to invest
WAP gives you access to a large range of fund options. These provide the opportunity to create a portfolio of funds that match your risk level and time horizon.
You accept a level of risk for the potential of better growth relative to a savings account
Investing in funds involves a degree of risk – funds can go down as well as up. Each fund has its own risk rating, and our dedicated advisers can help you understand what the right level of risk for you is, at fund or portfolio level.
You have a time horizon of 5 or more years
If your savings are for things such as building a retirement pot, a house purchase or mortgage settlement, a lump sum investment for a period of several years like what you get with WAP could be a good fit.
For a full understanding of the products, please refer to the policy terms and conditions.
Who isn’t it for?
WAP might not be right for you if:
You’re a first-time investor
WAP has a large universe of funds, and for a first-time investor, this could be slightly daunting. A simpler plan might be a better fit for you – our advisers can help guide you on this.
You aren’t prepared for funds to fall in value
Investments go up and down in value. If you’re not comfortable with the possibility that there can be periods where your investment is worth less than you put in, then you might want to consider alternative savings options.
You want to be able to pick individual stocks for your portfolio and you want to trade this daily
WAP is a medium to long-term bond where investment is made into funds. It’s not a trading platform and so, it doesn’t offer the granularity or real-time dealing options that such platforms do.
Everyone has different goals. We want to help you save for yours.
