Futura

If you pass away while your policy is active, your family will receive a lump sum. You can add living benefits like critical illness, disability, or dismemberment cover to secure yourself financially. If something happens, you’ll receive a lump sum to help cover your expenses without using up your savings, so you can focus on your wellbeing and recovery.

Your premiums will be invested in funds of your choice, and the value of the funds will be used to cover the cost of your insurance benefits.

Futura gives you the flexibility to personalise your plan with a wide range of protection benefits. You can choose your investment funds, coverage length, premium payment options, update beneficiaries, and more. Tailor your plan to fit your needs from the start and adjust it as your life changes over time.

Protection if you pass away
We’ll pay out a lump sum to your loved ones if you pass away during the policy term.

Protection if you become seriously ill or disabled
Futura offers optional covers, such as critical illness and disability cover, which pay out if you’re diagnosed with conditions like cancer, heart attack, or stroke, or if you become disabled.

Cover for your lifetime or less
Set up your policy to be covered for the whole of your life or a specific time frame depending on your needs.

Premium payment flexibility
Choose to pay premiums over a fixed term of 7 to 50 years, make a single premium payment, or spread your payments across your entire policy term. Choose the option that best fits your needs.

Choose which funds to invest in
Invest your premiums in a range of funds. The value of these funds will be used to cover the cost of your insurance benefits.

For a full understanding of the products, please refer to the policy terms and conditions.

You aren't fully honest with us
We’ll ask about your health and lifestyle to calculate your insurance premium. It's important to provide honest and accurate information, as incorrect or incomplete details may affect whether a claim can be paid.

Self-inflicted injuries and suicide
Self-harm causing injury or death is not covered in the first year of the policy.

Your policy value isn’t enough
Your premiums are invested in funds, and your cover continues as long as your policy value supports the insurance costs. If your policy value drops, or if you stop payments or make withdrawals, your cover may end sooner than planned. You can keep track of your policy value via your Zurich Online account or reach out to your advisor for assistance.

Term insurance is comparatively cheaper because it is a pure protection policy. Futura is designed to build cash value with lifetime protection. Term insurance also has much less flexibility.

3. What is the minimum premium required for Futura in the UAE?

Futura premium starts at around AED 5,000/year (age/health dependent) for regular premiums.
